The company of producers HIPPOPHAES HELLAS S.A. was established in 2015. It is located in Agios Theodoros, Karditsa, Greece. Constitutes collective expression of 98 farmers of Seabuckthorn berries varieties of M.A. Lisavenko, from different regions of Greece. Today the cultivated areas are 160 hectares and are considered the largest group of Seabuckthorn growers in Greece.
The producers’ company of HIPPOPHAE HELLAS has as main activity the production, collection and trading of Seabuckthorn fruit.
The following business activity:
- Receipt, processing, and packaging of the berry.
- Coordination and support of scientific research concerning the cultivation of plants in Greek soil and climatic conditions, properties, actions and uses of the berry.
- Promote domestic and export sales and develop commercial activity by participating in trade fairs, business missions and other practices contributing to this.
- Develop product readability through promotions and advertising.
- Highlighting the advantages and variations of the Seabuckthorn fruit growing in Greece.
- Carrying out research and scientific studies by university institutions both in Greece and abroad on the cultivation practices of Seabuckthorn plants and on the properties and benefits of the Seabuckthorn berries.
- Providing background support to the producers.
- Greek and European institutions carry out procedures for the inclusion of E.M.C. in investment and development projects where they are co- financed.
